PCG Prepares for Arriving of Two Large Patrol Vessels

Personnel of the Japan Coast Guard (JCG) and the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) have conducted a virtual strategic operation maintenance planning on Friday, Aug. 6, in preparation for the arrival of the two largest multi-role response vessels (MRRVs).

The two MRRVs were ordered from Japan.

JCG Commander Chikara Kurata, Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) experts, PCG Surface Support Force Commander Rear Admiral Allan Dela Vega, and some selected PCG personnel involved in operations, ships, and aircraft engineering attended the virtual activity.

During the virtual meeting, the JCG shared the formulation of operation plan and maintenance for the floating assets.

Meanwhile, the PCG discussed an overview regarding the status of its current operations on the floating vessels.
