DND Awards Contract for Torpedoes of Jose Rizal-class Frigates

The Department of National Defense (DND) has awarded South Korean company LIG Nex1 a USD15,936,900.00 worth of contract for the Frigate Acquisition Project 3A (Torpedoes) of the Philippine Navy.

The award was result of negotiation on December 10, 2020. The post-qualification was held January 26 to 28, 2021. The award was issued April 21, 2021.

National Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana signed the Noticed of Award.

The Philippine Navy is now operating 2 Jose Rizal-class frigates built by South Korean Hyundai Heavy Industries.
